They said it was a free site however to open any of the email answers they charge you and this is not apparent until you finish and start receiving emails. please help...................

Tell them (by email) that as a vulnerable person you made a mistake and would like the harassment to end immediately. Make sure you use the word ‘harassment’ and you could probably throw in a 'feel victimised’ and 'taken advantage of'. If it continues, you may have to change your email address. Good luck.
